OSM PIĄTNICA Case Study
How to maintain the highest quality of dairy products delivered to consumers thanks to the automation of Production Logistics.
Our ASRS helps manufacturers and distributors to be more competitive by increasing storage efficiency, optimising operating costs and Material Flow Control.
Warehouse Automation with Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) means more efficient and ergonomic work without errors. Warehouse movements, involving the handling of pallets, become optimised, being supported by master systems. Important aspects include the elimination of manual work and the exclusion of forklift trucks which exert detrimental effects on the environment. All of this minimises the risk of errors in palletised product storage cycles and provides tangible benefits in terms of process improvement.
An automatic warehouse ensures the full use of available storage space, optimising the costs of storing goods on pallets. Pallet stacker cranes speed up access to products, while making the process fully automatic and safe.
More efficient use of floor space
Increased production and logistical capacities
Reduction of work and product risk
Ability to reclaim unused space and increased inventory storage density
The ASRS pallet stacker crane, i.e. a solution for storing pallets on racks, enables an automatic access to pallets at a storage warehouse. The pallet is picked up from the shelf by a stacker crane carriage which transports the pallet to a system of integrated pallet conveyors, from which the goods are transferred to further internal logistics. The ASRS are suitable for loads weighing up to 1.5 t, but customised solutions for heavier loads are also possible.
In case of automatic loading, the weight of pallets depends on the crane stacker capacity (the number of pallets which the stacker crane is able to handle). The system of setting a pallet package for loading can also be provided with additional control modules, such as a contour gate, scales or safety scanners. The purpose of these solutions is to effectively manage the incoming pallet flows and eliminate the risk of introducing an unwanted logistic unit into the system.

Modern storage systems make efficient use of available space by analysing the layout of the warehouse and suggesting optimal solutions for the arrangement of goods. Automation allows for dynamic space management, which is particularly important when there is a high turnover of goods.
Examples include ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), which automatically store and retrieve goods, maximising the use of storage space.
