LIDL Case Study
How warehouse automation from Europa Systems supports growth strategy of Lidl
Automatic and robotic system designed for washing and drying thermal insulation containers used in distribution centers
Automated washing of thermally insulated
containers at low temperatures between
2 and 5 degrees Celsius, with high humidity. Smart measuring systems and quality control. Only contaminated containers are washed by the washing robot.
In distribution centres supporting the
logistics of fresh and frozen products. Retail industry.
Ability to reclaim unused space and increased inventory storage density
Increased production and logistical capacities
Reduction of work and product risk
More efficient use of floor space
Automation of the system for washing and drying thermal insulation containers. Thanks to the use of a dirt detection system, the system identifies their type and selects optimal cleaning parameters. Reducing energy and water consumption by selecting only dirty containers for the process. The use of robot for container drying reduces the time and accuracy of the drying process.
Robot adapted to harsh conditions – high humidity and low temperature. Application in distribution centers handling the logistics of fresh and frozen products. Maximum safety and efficiency through safe monitoring of the position and speed of the robot arm.
