Europa Systems together with EDOCS Systems implement Eco Smart Factory at Solvera Gawel Technology

March, 2022 — In Poland, Europa Systems – an integrator and producer of automated solutions for intralogistics  together with EDOCS System – the supplier of MES,  built the fully automated production logistics processes at the factory of Solvera Gawel Technology – a global leader on the fasteners market.

Eco Smart Factory is a perfect example of the implementation of a sustainable development strategy in line with the Industrial 4.0 concept. This latest project includes the optimisation of production processes, comprehensive metering using elements of intelligent data analysis, and real-time monitoring.

In today’s rapidly changing world, the automation of production logistics is developing dynamically, and is becoming an increasingly important part of businesses’ market strategies. Responding quickly to market needs, controlling warehouse inventories and the flow of materials, data analysis, artificial intelligence, IoT, ecology – these are key trends in Industry 4.0 and the supply chain.

Especially in such sectors as automotive and household appliances, producers know exactly how important continuity in the supply of components is. If just one element needed to produce an engine is missing, there will be a delay in the supply of finished goods to the market, which can lead to enormous losses. In production component processes, above and beyond the need to deliver the right quality at the right price and on time, it is becoming increasingly important to also consider their carbon trail.

The current cooperation between the components producer Solvera Gawel Technology and the technologies suppliers Europa Systems and EDOCS Systems is an outstanding example of how a synergy of activities can integrate a number of goals into a coherent whole.

“Automation allows us to optimise production processes and better control the supply chain. In today’s world, access to information in real time and predictive algorithms give a competitive advantage. That’s why, when introducing automation, we take account of the challenges our clients are facing now, and will be facing in the future”, explains Marcin Tomkiewicz, Chairman of the companies Europa Systems and EDOCS Systems.

The project encompasses automating the production lines in the distribution zone and the storage of semi-finished products, as well as using artificial intelligence for data analysis and production optimisation. It is the next stage towards Eco Smart Factory, the brainchild of this leading European producer of fasteners for the automotive, household appliances and construction industries. Up to now, virtually the company’s whole machine park of more than 200 stations has been metered using the EDOCS MES System.  One of the key elements of the next stage will be investments in new machines, the expansion of the system, and data collection in order to integrate all processes within a single ‘data-driven’ ecosystem that will permit the use of advanced optimisation algorithms.

“Solvera Gawel Technology’s vision is to create an intelligent, environmentally-friendly components factory which, thanks to the use of the latest technologies brought by our partners, Europa Systems and EDOCS Systems, will become a global benchmark for Industry 4.0 in our sector”, says Dariusz Kluz, Director of Sales and Marketing at Solvera Gawel Technology S.A.

The implementation is planned for the third quarter of 2022. The companies plan to organise an Open Day at the Solvera Gawel Technology plant near Rzeszów.
